Announcements: June 22, 2011

It has come to my attention/ I finally realized that this group is now over a year old, so whether you joined this group today, or have been here since the beginning, I thank you all for joining, and contributing your lovely cosplays because without you guys this group wouldn't be possible.

I hope we can continue to please you all, so that you look forward to seeing some submissions we accept into the group when you go to check your DA inbox. We're striving to accept not necessarily the best cosplays, but cosplays with good presentation.

Now before I get into the two announcements I have in store for you all, I want to take this time to say, how in my last update here to the group I mentioned doing a group clean up (which  is still underway) for removing any submissions which violated group policies, and shouldn't have been accepted.

Since the group was first created the group submission guidelines have changed a bit, so whether if you haven't read the guidelines yet at all, or need to brush up on them, please do so before you make your next submission.


So for my two announcements.

In honor of the group making it through it's first year with pretty good activity, we're gonna start to try holding contests. Each contest will have a theme, and it is up to you to get creative, and do your best to follow the theme.

The only prize I can really offer any of you that take part in the contest is having your winning submission put into the "Featured" gallery. If any members wants to donate their time (or money) to contributing into the prize pool, you are more than welcomed to. These members will be given contributor status on the group page.

I'll make another entry in the future dedicated to sorting out more of the details towards our first contest, which will include a poll on a theme you would like to go with, when you would like it to start, and whn you would like it to end, etc, etc.


As for our second announcement, we're beginning our member feature of the month. Since we're so late into June as it is, we'll be skipping over this month, and going straight into July. Starting in August, a new member will be picked, and posted the first of every month.

Qualifications of becoming a featured member is being a member of the group of course, and something that is considered a "high quality" submission by the mods standards. All featured members are posted into the "Featured" Gallery along with any of the Contest Winners.

die-chan, who you probably have seen a few times if you've been part of this group for a while, never fails to impress with not only her extensive detailing going into some of her Gakupo cosplays, but for also always bring some of the best high quality photos submitted into this group.


So congratulations die-chan for not only being a featured member, but the first. We hope to continue seeing more of your great work submitted into the group.
